Good morning! In my other (non-bridal) life, I'm a mom. So it's not surprising many of my ideas and thoughts stem from the wisdom of Dr. Theodor Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss). In one of the greatest books ever, Green Eggs and Ham, the narrator is pestered by Sam to try green eggs and ham. The narrator is oh-so-convinced that he will not like this meal and although Sam is persistent, each time Sam offers the green eggs and ham, the narrator refuses.
In the bridal world, there are always things that I spot on the runway or in a magazine that I love. One of the reasons is probably because it's different. But different is sometimes scary. Like pants for a bride. We have a pantsuit in the shop. It's utterly chic, but so often it's only tried on in jest. Is it because pants aren't as flattering, pants are masculine, pants are unexpected, pants are ugly, pants are only for lesbians. Of course, none of these are true.
Here's just a smattering of some amazing brides in pants!
with some lace:
or a cape:
on the red:
two could be wed:
add some feathers:
or a bow:
even a hat:
there's no doubt, pants are where it's at.
I ask you dear brides: try them, try them. you will see....
