The flower crown is quintessential summer romance and absolutely bewitching on a bride. And if you've ever looked at a crown on pinterest, and thought i could do that!! Well, here's your tutorial:
The ever-amazing Stephanie of Lalé Florals was totally game to teach us at a&be bridal shop how to make a floral crown at home. Ready??
For this crown, we chose white & green flowers but you can choose whatever colors you want!
To make sure your flower crown will fit, wrap the covered wire around your head twice and cut the wire. Tie the ends together to secure. This will be the base of your flower crown.
Add one piece of the curly willow around the wire circle. Tie the end of the Curly willow with the green gardening wire and weave throughout the covered wire base. You can add more pieces of curly willow if you want a fuller crown.
Your flower crown should look something like this!
Now, take a bloom of your favorite flower and a 4" piece of gardening wire. Poke the wire through the center of the flower and pull through the bottom, leaving about 2" above the flower.
Make a hook shape on the end of the wire, this will catch the inside of the flower and secure the wire to the bloom. Pull the wire so you can no longer see it coming out of the top of the flower.
Place the flower where you want it to go on your crown and wrap the wire around the curly willow branches.
Continue to add flowers throughout the crown until you have the look you want!
Ta-da! Your very own D.I.Y. flower crown!
