WHAT'S ON YOUR PLAYLIST RIGHT NOW?

Currently on heavy rotation: Tove Lo, Kiiara, Petit Biscuit, and Zayn. I definitely veer towards a heavy hip hop playlist when in a party mood, but mostly default to my Spotify “Discover Weekly” for finding new suggestions!

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE A&BÉ DESIGNER?

One of the things that keeps me loving a&bé are all of the cool designers with whom we are fortunate to have relationships; so it is hard to narrow down! I love Truvelle because it is so ethereal, Sarah Seven for being super fun and modern, Daughters of Simone is the epitome of a cool girl and Houghton is just rad. Period. I love each line for something different! That being said, for my personal style, Rue De Seine speaks to me the most. I am a bit of a wanderer (having moved over 20 times), multi-ethnic (with inspiration from all cultures through not only my heritage but also my travels), bohemian and passionate… just like the line.

IF YOU COULD WEAR ANY GOWN FROM A&BÉ, WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE?

Right now I am crushing hard on Rue De Seine’s Dakota. That fringe, those sleeves! Growing up a dancer, I always look for movement in everything… right down to my clothes, and this gown is made to move! Sarah Seven Orleans Sequin is also so amazing! Can I just wear it everyday, please?

CHILDHOOD NICKNAME?

Bean is my nickname from my sister -- Sabrina abbreviated to Brean -- pared down to Bean. I was also a tiny kid, so the name fit my stature at that young age.

ANY PETS?

While my husband and I would love to have a fluffy little friend, we currently only have a beta fish named Atreyu, named after The NeverEnding Story character. Up until recently, we had another beta named Bruce Willis (don’t worry, in a separate bowl), but he has since gone to fishy heaven. We are also trying to make our home into a Jungalow, so our plants need love and attention too!

ANY SUPER SECRET TALENTS?

Not secret, but I am a classically trained dancer from the National Ballet School of Canada and the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200)... Namaslay ;)

WHERE YOU WILL FIND ME WHEN I'M NOT AT A&BÉ?

When I’m not pouring my heart into helping brides-to-be at the shop,  I am adventuring with my photographer husband… hoping to do some big trips this year (Morocco and Spain, here we come!); but when home, we explore South Florida. Whether that be a beach day at a State Park, bike riding around our home in Coral Gables, finding new places for date night (current fav is Cake Thai Kitchen in Wynwood), or driving until we don’t know where we are!  Check out my blog post on the Magic City of Miami for more of my fav spots!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING OR PLACE IN MIAMI?

The Miami Flea is my jam! Complete with vintage treasures, cool local vendors, live performances and curated workshops! It has a little bit of everything--which suits my eclectic heart just fine!

WHY YOU WILL LOVE WORKING WITH ME?

I definitely have a nerdy side (my fav TV show of all time is Star Trek TNG), which also bodes to how I try to soak up as much knowledge as possible. I crave knowing all that I can, about not only our designers and gowns, but also you! I want to get to know you. Your style, your story, your vibe. I want you to be comfortable, to be your authentic self, not just while we are in the shop, but more importantly, on your wedding day. Your style is as innate as your love story, and my hope is that I can get a glimpse of that uniqueness, so I can help meld it with my experience and knowledge culminating in finding you THE dress!

MIAMI IS AKA the “MAGIC CITY,” WHAT CREATES MIAMI’S MAGIC TO YOU?

Miami’s magic comes from the conflux of the heat and cool waters, the burgeoning art that flowed so freely it spilled out onto the walls, mixed with the diversity of the people that created the enchanting flavors of the city. This magic fills our senses and courses through us to be explored! Let’s create Magic!
