A little Q&A with the Angel Spendlove:

Q. What is your design inspiration?

Women with chic and effortless style- Bianca Jagger, Kate Moss, Erin Wasson, and my Mom, who introduced me to vintage kimonos and I have never looked back.

Q. Tell me two little known facts about you:

I was a professional ballerina in my past life and I have danced with major ballet companies around the world, including English National Ballet and the Birmingham Royal Ballet. I also have a bit of a greenthumb and love to grow my own vegetables.

Q. Describe your personal style:

A little bit boho and a little bit  “laid back rock’n’roll.”

Q. What is your favorite article of clothing?

That’s tough- I’d say a toss up between my Margiela booties and my beaded vintage kimono.

Q. Favorite vacation spot:

Milos, it’s like this tiny, quiet island in the Greek Islands.

Q. When did you know that you were going to design bridal?

I love the idea of celebrating love, and there is just something extra-special about a wedding dress. It’s one of the most major garments you are ever going to own in  your whole life, which is pretty special.

Q. Who is your style icon?

Erin Wasson.

 Q. If you could dress any celebrity, who would it be?

Emma Watson- She is so chic, smart and gorgeous.

Q. What is the last great book that you read?

Queen of Fashion- What Marie Antoinette wore to the revolution.

Q. Any advice for brides?

Don’t get carried away by the wedding and lose sight of what’s really important – that you are about to marry THE person who is going to love you unconditionally, forever. In the end, it’s just a wedding- it’s the marriage that’s the important bit.
