Our Miami bridal shop in the Wynwood neighborhood has become a haven for not only the South Florida bohemian bride, but the South & Central American boho bridal babes as well—as we often hear that you gorgeous gals want to look boho or care-free on your wedding day. You #aandbabes are unique in the wide world of weddings, and identify as bohemian in not only your day-to-day fashion style and lifestyle, but want to carry it through to your wedding day.  All this boho-wedding talk got us wondering… what does bohemian really mean? What does it mean to be a bohemian bride?

This ubiquitous little word, “bohemian” is defined as a “vagabond, wanderer; a person (such as a writer or an artist) living an unconventional life…” While we may not all be as adventurous or nomadic as we idealize in our daily life, the wedding day is a time where you can be your best self—your aspirational self—truly actualizing your love in a way that goes to the core of your being. Bringing out a joie de vivre, or joy of life that resonates with our boho bridal babes.

What is a bohemian bride? A bohemian bride might have a more natural and organic style, or maybe you have a bold aesthetic, maybe you chose an unconventional venue...truly, a bohemian wedding can include many different things, from a focus on having a low ecological impact through the sourcing of ethically made and sustainable goods -- which can include everything from the wedding reception venue chosen, a locally sourced menu, and of course carry through to the bridal gown and accessories worn on this day celebrating love!

However you choose to bring in bohemian elements to your wedding, one of the statement ways to let this aesthetic shine, is to stylize your bridal look, and wear a bohemian wedding dress from a boho inspired bridal designer for your big day. Our Miami bridal shop has highlighted a few of our new favorite free-spirited bridal styles from our indie, boho wedding dress designers!

For the epitome of bohemian bridal dreams, New Zealand based wedding dress designer, Rue De Seine’s entire Moonlight Magic Collection is honestly so stellar, it is hard to choose one stand out style. The Indigo Star wedding dress really has our heart though, with her playful beaded star design on flowy long sleeves and lightweight tulle this wedding dress is made for a standout bridal babe!

Made With Love’s Stevie wedding dress is making hearts aflutter in her homeland of Australia, and all the way across the ocean to us in South Florida. We are fawning over her in all ivory—as seen in the Miami bridal shop!

In the great white north, Vancouver based, Truvelle’s Rebecca wedding dress has an easy going romance, with a soft and flowing chiffon skirt, open back and detailed floral lace, of which we can not get enough!

Quintessential elevated bohemian bridal style shines through on Flora’s Dalphin wedding dress. The statement train and low back compliment a relaxed bodice for an elegant bohemian bridal look.

New to the South Florida bridal scene is Rish Bridal Atelier — Kaitlin wedding dress is a&bé’s signature gown with this rising Israeli designer. This wedding dress checks off all the boxes, fringe, soft lace and just a hint of sexy with slits! We are excited to welcome Rish to a&bé miami within our family of bohemian bridal lines!
