MEET CAREER STYLIST, LUCAS!
meet career stylist, lucas!
bridal stylist elizabeth here from a&bé seattle! our expert bridal stylists at our a&bé x annabé stores across the country are the true magic behind our signature fun and fuss-free wedding dress shopping experience. we take great pride in forming deep connections with brides, providing a personalized bridal appointment catered to each bride’s unique style, and answering any questions about the wedding dress process — all while setting current bridal trends.
i sat down with career stylist lucas at a&bé denver to share his wisdom on all things wedding dress shopping, styling, and beyond. here’s what he had to say:
ELIZABETH: Lucas, how did you become a bridal stylist?
LUCAS: i’ve always loved fashion and styling and worked retail seasonally and beyond. i was reevaluating my life (as we all were) during the pandemic, and my wonderful supportive husband urged me to pursue passion over paycheck. i was immediately drawn to a&bé and was eventually called back for an interview and joined the denver team as a stylist and was then promoted to career stylist.
ELIZABETH: for good reason — you truly are an a&bé denver celebrity! we often hear brides ask, “why do i need a bridal stylist in my appointment?” as stylists we do so much more than answering common bridal gown shopping questions and helping brides in and out of dresses. each of our stylists has their own “styling superpower” that makes their appointments special and their brides confident in saying yes to their dream wedding dress. what would you say is your styling superpower?
LUCAS: i would say that I have a two-pronged superpower, the first power being the magic of my instant connection with my brides. after a five to ten minute consultation, I can literally see my bride’s fully styled look in my head. Then I rely on my second superpower, my expert knowledge of our inventory, to bring that vision to life.
i believe what makes a&bé the best shop to find your wedding dress is that we are stylists rather than consultants. I love thinking outside the box to create a bridal look that feels most authentically like you. I use accessories to tell a story with my brides and wholly believe that our extensive a&bé inventory can turn any garment into your garment.

ELIZABETH: wow, so well said! the people are really what makes a&bé such an unforgettable experience. Lucas, what is your favorite part about working at a&bé?
LUCAS: I’m super proud of our babes on a mission initiative! our recent addition of the trevor project as a charity is near to my heart and makes my work that much more rewarding. i would also say that i love the sense of community we have at a&bé among our team, our brides, and beyond. those values truly make us all #aandbabes for life.
ELIZABETH: I couldn’t agree more! our values are the heartbeat of every interaction with brides from start to finish. what do you wish all of your brides knew before trying on wedding gowns?
LUCAS: i tell all my brides that there is nothing more bridal than a bride who feels one hundred percent themselves on their wedding day. i love when my brides embrace their individuality in their gown and accessories. my top advice for choosing your wedding gown is to think of this process as more like dating than shopping because you are looking for the one.
ELIZABETH: i love that so much! the most timeless bridal gown is the one that feels authentically you. what is a recent bridal trend that you have been obsessed with?
LUCAS: two piece gowns! i love a styling opportunity to make a bridal combination that is truly one of a kind. i can even see my brides wearing their bridal corsets again after their wedding with jeans and a jacket. a truly sustainable trend!
