we love, love & are genuinely thrilled when our a&babe brides share their stories. we decided we would incentivize sharing those stories we love so much by giving away 1k towards a dress to one of the future a&babes who shared about their engagement or their love story with us. we spent hours pouring over the stories and cried so much we were honestly a little dehydrated. what a great problem to have, huh?

alex and i met in college through mutual friends; i was a freshman and he was a senior. i had this big school-girl crush on him and couldn’t have imagined he’d ever be interested in me. the next year, we often found ourselves at the same hangouts and we quickly bonded over tv shows, our love of sushi, and intense desires to travel. by that fall, my school girl fantasy became reality and we started dating! read more here
our love story started all the way back in the 5th grade. i have known zach my whole life, but in the 5th grade we had the same teacher. we became close friends and even dated (for 3days 😂) but it was so weird because how close we were. after we called it quits we stayed in each other’s corner, always making each other laugh, sharing music taste, competing for good grades (nerds), and even giving each other dating advice. read more here

i am a korean adoptee and in 2013 i was living my dream life teaching english in my birth place but my life plans changed one day in september. i went to a women’s hospital thinking i had a tumor but when the doctor asked if there was any chance i could be pregnant it seemed like a matter of seconds before they were showing my 14 week old baby on an ultrasound. what should have been one of the happiest moments of my life was replaced by the most terrifying situation and all i could do was sob, wondering how the hell i was going to be a single mom. read more here
