Q. What is your design inspiration?
A: I'm very inspired by architecture, nature and patterns/prints. I really enjoy taking things that are more abstract (like an interesting archway, wallpaper) and translating them into my designs. I find it always produces a very unique result.
Q. Tell me two little known facts about you:
A: I am am excellent parallel parker; it's one of my points of pride! My favorite food in the world is marshmallows.
Q. Describe your personal style: Boho meets urban grunge.
A: I live in Charleston, so I'm usually in a very breezy sundress; but I like to grunge up my feminine pieces with ripped denim, leather and plaid.
Q. What is your favorite article of clothing?
A: I have a pair of Chloe sandals from my wedding - the whole heel is covered in sparkly rhinestones. They dress up any outfit and are so easy and comfortable!
Q. Favorite vacation spot:
A: Morocco, specifically Rabat - I could live there.
Q. When did you know that you were going to design bridal?
A: It was never part of the plan, but after I got married I just sort of fell in love with the process and with the industry. Everyone is so happy and supportive, probably because it's all centered around such a joyous occasion.
Q. Who is your style icon?
A: Whitney Port
Q. If you could dress any celebrity, who would it be?
A: Hmm...probably Rachel Bilson because I just think she's adorable.
Q. What is the last great book that you read?
A: I've been into poetry lately so I recently read "Night Sky with Exit Wounds" by Ocean Vuong, and I think he's a genius.
Q. Any advice for brides?
A: Make sure you look like YOU on your day. Your fiance fell in love with "every day" you!
