Real Wedding: Jacki + Ryan ::
Ryan and Jacki got hitched on a beautiful little farm outside of Boulder, CO in early September. The setting was quaint, rustic and so uniquely them.
Each and every little detail was considered and planned. From the barnwood arch that Ryan built and the farm fresh flowers the bridesmaids picked that morning, to the hand lettered wood signs and the homemade strawberry rhubarb jam. There was love and sweet meaning behind even the smallest detail.
The bridesmaids got ready in the farm house, giggling in their chambray rompers, sipping on Underwood sparkling wine. The groomsman hung out in the tool shed, passing around moonshine and playing fetch with Boone, the couple’s adorable yellow lab.
When it came time for the ceremony, an intimate group of close family and friends found their seats on wood benches looking out at the most breathtaking view of the mountains. To the acoustic tune of Hey Pretty Girl, the bride walked down the aisle hand-in-hand with her mom and dad – beaming with happiness.
The bride’s older brother and groom’s little sister performed the most heartfelt, personal ceremony – sharing stories, tears and laughter. Words of wisdom were shared by the mothers, and then, with big smiles and tear-filled eyes, Jacki and Ryan recited the vows they wrote for each other. Promising a life of adventure, friendship and forever love.
Cocktail hour took place outside the barn, with live music from a five piece country band. Guests mingled, sipped on Upslope beer, Viewpoint wine and snacked on delectable bites from EAT catering.
In three long rows of wood farm tables, dinner was served family-style beneath string lights in the orchard. As the sun went down, the rustic kissing bell continued to ring, and guests took in all the love and beauty surrounding them.
After dinner, everyone moved into the barn, ready for some boot scootin where the band had the guests line dancing and two-stepping their way through the night. Nibbling on homemade apple cider doughnuts, guests warmed up by the small bonfire outside and visited The ShutterBus, a vintage VW Bus converted to photo booth, for a little entertainment.
With sparklers lit against the night sky and guests cheering, Jacki and Ryan made their way from the barn into the back of an old VW bug – convertible down and champagne waiting. With tin cans clinking behind them, they drove off as Mr. & Mrs. Ognibene.
