for most, rainfall is an ordinary element of nature that you experience hundreds of times throughout your life. rainfall was likely a reason to rejoice in your childhood. an immediate sign that reemerging mud puddles were waiting outside for your bright yellow galoshes to greet them once again. rainfall as a teenager may have been a reason to sleep in, watch a movie, or for some, an excuse to gravitate towards the grumpiness your adolescent years tend to bring. rain is a constant. a refreshing happenstance that can remind you of distant memories while keeping you intensely present, an element of nature that is both magical and mundane. while some may view wedding day rain as regrettable, #aandbabe jamie and kevin leaned into the delight that those drops have brought them throughout the years. they were thankful for the charm their cloudy day created as they entered this new chapter of life beside cherished company that have braved every storm by their side. with a big day full of both champagne and rain showers, jamie and kevin were able to celebrate their union in utter bliss.
when jamie explained their wedding day she had to share just how improbable the rain was so we could fully get the picture. “colorado gets over 300 days of sunshine a year and june 26, 2021 was not one of them. it was an uncharacteristically rainy summer afternoon. we were set to get married at 5 pm at the manor house in littleton, colorado and by some miracle, the down-pouring rainfall stopped at 4:55 and we were blessed with a calm, serene drizzle as our outdoor ceremony started.”

we love every image, but the detail shots of jamie’s elegant ‘tommy’ by made with love wedding dress are our absolute favorite. the way this romantic wedding gown’s beaded lace embroidery subtly sparkled and the intricate leaf-like design complimented all the pops of greenery incorporated in this charming celebration was nothing short of stunning. not only did jamie’s contemporary wedding dress nod to their outdoor nuptials, but the stunning sara gabriel ‘chelsea veil’ that trailed behind jamie as she made her way down the aisle was another fresh floral touch to their magical manor wedding. from dreamy sage bridesmaids dresses to a classic ceremony arch covered in white flowers and foliage, these two perfectly tied together their love of nature and each other.
