oftentimes the places you frequently visit in our childhood feel the most like home. wallpaper patterns that remind you of all the times you traced the shapes with your small hands. crouched in the corner, playing hide-and-go-seek, wallpaper tracing came as a natural way to pass the time. or perhaps your childhood revolved around the wilderness outside those four walls. the forest of sunflowers that seemed to skyrocket above your head. the blueberry field that served as a plump pre-dinner snack. a front door that always seemed to be open and a house that raised you. it wasn’t just a house though, no, a true home. that family farm was your summer home… well, at least that’s the case for #aandbabe juila. tying the knot with jake in the same place that filled so many sun-baked days and now serves as a working apple farm for local visitors. the antique details. the evident nostalgia. let’s head on down to red apple farm.
don’t you just want to grab a cider donut and rush onto the dance floor to join julia and jake?! this brew barn wedding in phillipston, massachusetts was charming and cozy. julia was a vision in 'sia' by rue de seine. this long sleeve rue de seine wedding dress with crochet panels and romantic bell sleeves was the perfect bridal look for their big day. the bohemian style of sia’s high embroidered neckline paired wonderfully with so many of the antique wedding details. julia’s photographer, suzy, explains, “no detail was too great or small for julia. julia included a vintage serving platter, styling ribbons, and stamps for her detail photos. vintage liquor bottles from the attic of the farmhouse became reception table vases. every detail was thoughtful and intentional”.
not only were their details intentional, but so was their determination to not let anything get in the way of their celebration of love. when a hurricane rolled in, these two quickly changed their blueberry field ceremony spot to indoors. in front of a grand stone fireplace twinkling with lights and candles, these two gently promised forever. they even stole a moment to get intimate bride and groom photos in the sprinkling rain!
we’ll just sign off by saying… farm forevers might just be our favorite now. cheers to these new england newlyweds.
