if you’re daydreaming of a cottagecore wedding, the rustic beauty of a cozy cabin, lush forest, or wide open meadow most likely has crossed your mind. for #aandbabe grey and dave, the gold hill inn in boulder was a picturesque colorado wedding venue that had a little bit of everything. not only did this historic boulder, co wedding venue feel nostalgic and charming, it also had beautiful grounds that would be perfect for their outdoor ceremony.

surrounded by the majestic rocky mountains, grey and dave were instantly drawn to the inn’s vintage aesthetic. since 1962 the inn has hosted intimate events and gatherings and grey and dave immediately knew that they’d love to be a part of the gold hill inn’s rich history.
in the front room, wooden beams and vintage decor like metal lanterns and glass bottles add to the homey, cabin-like feel. stepping outside from the glow of the cabin, the spacious outdoors is also outfitted for a close-knit celebration. an outdoor pavilion marks the altar and a vintage trailer adds a pop of retro color to the otherwise natural scenery.
outdoor pavilion wedding ceremony with vintage decor
in grey and dave’s case, they decided to host their wedding ceremony outside underneath the wooden pavilion. renting vintage rugs and scattering them to create a boho-inspired carpet wedding aisle, the rug’s ornate patterns add color and dimension. at each side of the aisle, folding wooden chairs were organized for guests. these wooden chairs tied into the wood fencing surrounding the premise as well as the log cabins in the distance.
at the steps of the pavilion, white flowers and greenery blossomed over the steps, creating a wildflower-like floral arrangement right below their feet. on each side of the pavilion, custom pennants that read ‘i’ve been lovin’ you for so long.’ and ‘i’ll be lovin’ you til i’m gone.’ were positioned on each side. these pennants were adorned in a pink fringe that coordinated with the fringe from the macramé that adorned the eaves of the pavilion.
rue de seine wedding dress with long sleeves
when shopping for a mountain wedding dress in boulder, colorado, grey visited a&bé bridal shop denver. known for carrying unique bridal designers like rue de seine, grey instantly fell in love with the eclectic style of each rue de seine bridal gown.
when narrowing down her dress options, ‘cyrus’ by rue de seine continued to be a favorite. with bold embroidery that had an organic pattern, cyrus felt effortless while still possessing a modern flair. the gown’s high neckline and fitted sleeves brought even more attention to the dramatic lace design, creating a statement bridal look that was the perfect balance between timeless and trendy.
blue bridal veil
when selecting bridal accessories to pair with this rue de seine dress, grey opted to add a whimsical touch. knowing their aisle would be full of colorful layered rugs, grey selected a blue bridal veil that would match their vibrant aisle. this pastel blue wedding veil had an ombré gradient that allowed this bridal accessory to blend in seamlessly with the outdoor ceremony's natural surroundings!
handmade quilt favors for wedding guests
for anyone looking for an amazing cottagecore wedding favor idea, grey and dave’s handmade quilts were the cutest. as the evening drew to a close, guests entered the cabin to enjoy the reception festivities. placed in a large basket with a wooden sign encouraging every family to take, were bright handmade quilt wedding favors. a custom tag with the couple’s initials were sewn onto the blanket, providing another personal touch and making the gift that much more sentimental.
buffet wedding reception in charming cabin
upon selecting their wedding favor, guests were treated to a buffet reception meal that emphasized comfort and community. with dishes like cherry wood smoked salmon, tossed green vegetable salad, and homemade bread, their mountain wedding meal centered around a home cooking-inspired menu.
bundt wedding cake and desserts
after dinner, grey and dave’s antique dessert tables were filled with an array of baked goods. separating the treats with small place cards that stated their flavor, guests had the option to taste a variety of mini-bundt cakes from nothing bundt cake.
at the center of their dessert display was a larger bundt wedding cake. covered in white drip icing and wildflowers, their simple wedding cake looked delicious. grey and dave cut into this cake with an antique cake cutter, adding a touch of tradition to their cottagecore wedding bundt cake.
celebrating their love in the warmth and comfort of their closest family and friends, grey and dave’s cabin wedding at gold hill inn couldn’t have been more thoughtful. taking great care in expressing their individuality and making sure their guests felt included in this heartfelt experience, grey and dave perfectly combined a cottagecore wedding aesthetic with timeless, personal touches.
