charming highschool sweetheart love story
like many modern love stories, carlee and riley courtship began online. carlee shares, “riley and i met in the summer of 2012 via facebook when we were just 15 and 17 years old. he sent me a message (slid in the dms if you will lol), and we began dating shortly after.”
fast forward to fall 2021 and riley proposed to carlee at the yacht club in rockwall, texas. taking some time to plan their dream wedding, carlee and riley said ‘i do’ on march 24, 2023 at brighton abbey wedding venue in aubrey, texas!

when it came time to go wedding dress shopping in texas, carlee couldn’t wait to visit our dallas, texas bridal shop. while she went into the experience with an open mind, there were certain bridal details she thought she’d gravitate towards. discovering our modern crepe wedding dresses and our alyssa kristin line in particular, carlee was in awe.
ultimately saying yes to ‘isla’ dress by alyssa kristin, carlee loved the fitted silhouette and statement train. to add to the drama of the back of the dress, carlee also opted for cover buttons along the zipper and purchased a cathedral length tulle veil. wearing ‘donna veil’ during their first look and wedding ceremony, carlee was able to seamlessly blend her modern and classic bridal details.

carlee’s alyssa kristin wedding dress perfectly matched their sleek ceremony space. exchanging vows in a contemporary glass chapel surrounded by enchanting woods and gardens, carlee and riley’s wedding ceremony was extremely unique.
their guests sat on the venue’s white church pews and looked at the wooden altar. on top of the altar were acrylic pedestals that held white wedding flower displays with greenery. blending into the lush backdrop of the space’s floor-to-ceiling windows, carlee and riley’s romantic chapel wedding felt like the ideal blend of indoor-outdoor wedding vibes.

after the ceremony, guests entered their airy reception area. as soon as they walked in, guests were greeted with a mix of traditional wedding reception details and modern wedding reception touches.
a photo from carlee’s bridal portrait session was elegantly displayed by their cake station. also near their wedding cake table was a greenery wall with a custom neon wedding sign. these personalized wedding decorations blended their style and allowed their personalities to shine through!
streamer wedding exit and white sports car wedding getaway
after enjoying their classic reception, carlee changed into a short slip wedding dress for their wedding exit. their guests showered them in white streamers as the two walked together towards their getaway car. climbing into a white corvette, carlee and riley kissed before driving off in style!
