Real Wedding : Maddi + Wiatt :: Washington Island Elopement in Made With Love Gown

Intimate weddings and elopements are the thing of 2020 and looking at photos from Maddi and Wiatt’s big day, it’s evident what an awesome adventure they can be. Their day was the perfect blend of sharing moments with immediate family while also getting to exchange their vows in the most intimate setting with just the two of them. Maddi wore Carla by Made With Love and the floral appliqué details on her dress were the perfect match for their outdoor nuptials.

My husband and I met each other at an airport south of Seattle to do our first look. There, he waited on the dock for me while my dad walked me down the runway for our first look. Both of our immediate families got to witness our first look before we hopped on our private sea plane towards Patos Island, the Northern-most island in Washington State.

Once there, the plane landed on the beach, and we got started on our short hike to the other side of the island. The forest opened up to a field of tall grass and a trail leading to our perfect little “chapel”, a lighthouse! With our photographer and videographer as our witnesses, and my mother’s best friend (my mentor) as our officiant, we exchanged custom vows overlooking the rocky shore and the San Juan Islands. To celebrate, we popped a delicious bottle of champagne and had a romantic cliffside picnic of food my sisters prepared for us!
