Real Wedding: Karen & Matt
Karen and Matt's Brooklyn, New York City wedding was an intimate and charming affair. Our a&bé bride looked classically beautiful and perfect in a Catherine Deane Patsy gown. We simply adore the photo taken in front of Brooklyn Bridge! See the stunning photos by Christopher David Photo below:
We asked our bride to describe her special day and she replied:
Our wedding was in the backyard garden of Frankies 457 in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. The weather was perfect on the day of our wedding, with little humidity (which is a rarity in NY), we took pictures in Brooklyn Bridge park and around Frankies 457 before our ceremony. Our ceremony was short and sweet, performed by a lifelong friend of my husband, which added to the intimate nature of our wedding. We treated our wedding as more of a dinner party than a traditional wedding, there was no dance floor, no elaborate wedding party, it was about us, our family our friends and amazing food! Our wedding was a classic, rustic style I guess you would call it. Mix and match bottles on the tables holding a simple and beautiful arrangement of flowers, large rectangular tables perfect for a Brooklyn garden setting, large Jenga that we used as our guest book, non-frosted cakes that were full of flavor. We can't thank our family and friends enough for going along with our non-traditional nature and making it the perfect night for us.
