Real Wedding: Britt + JD :: Intimate + Cool + Modern Palm Springs Wedding

From the Bride:

We met in a very unconventional way - instead of using other dating websites, JD decided to use my own! He sent an email through my website contact and his exact words were, “Hey, this a little crazy but I’m going for it.” Well, he went for it and let’s just say it worked! We fell hard and have never looked back. We dated for exactly 6 months when JD asked me to be his wife!
Soon after getting engaged, we knew we wanted to do something small and intimate. We really wanted our day to be about our marriage and not obsess over the details. (being in the wedding industry, it’s easy to get caught up in all the details!) Both being creatives - we knew we wanted our wedding to be a simple reflection of who we are. Palm Springs represented our love for mid century modern architecture / design and we loved the idea of having a weekend away with all our people. So, surrounded by 20 of our friends and family - we got married in the back yard of a magical Airbnb home. We spent the morning making breakfast together and hanging in the pool, then the evening was filled with our ceremony and dinner. It was the best feeling sitting at one big table sitting only with people who have truly invested A LOT in who we are, together and apart. It was the most laid back, fun, and love filled day - it was all we had hoped for and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wanted to do it over and over!
