y’all know the kind of weddings that are so true to the bride and groom it feels like you’re stepping into another day in their life? a special day no doubt, but one that feels calm and casual. other than the clear wedding attire and jaw-dropping bridal gown you may just think you were kicking back with your closest friends and family. those kind of weddings are our favorite and it was exactly the kind of intimate wedding #aandbabe victoria and jake enjoyed.
this modern barn wedding in mondovi, wisconsin stole our hearts the second we opened the gallery. from a simple figure-hugging wedding dress that stood out among grassy midwest pastures to their playful wedding favors table, victoria and jake went to great lengths to make their guests felt welcomed and a part of their love story.
SIMPLE FITTED WEDDING DRESS
victoria was a vision in ‘vivian’ by alyssa kristin. the deep-v plunge neckline and thick straps created a flattering frame and the chic cummerbund detail added support and finished off the waist. with illusion side cutouts and a statement crepe train, victoria looked effortlessly elegant in alyssa kristin’s vivian wedding dress.
at their first look, under a shaded farmhouse patio, victoria and jake embraced each other as they excitedly prepared for the big day ahead. after their first look, victoria cracked a cold one to celebrate and smiled wide with her wedding sunnies on.
COOL CUSTOM EMBROIDERED WEDDING VEIL
making your wedding style your own is something we always encourage. we want our babes to feel like their truest selves during such an important day. no fuss, just love… that’s the whole damn point.
not only was victoria’s individual style original (hello pink hair!), but she also took just as much care in crafting a wedding look that felt distinctly true to herself and her bridal vision. her personalized cathedral ‘lillian veil’ by sara gabriel had soft lace embroidery trim and her and jake’s initials and wedding date were hand-stitched onto the tulle.
LOOKING FOR WEDDING FAVOR IDEAS?
victoria and jake’s wedding favors were easy and elegant. playing off of their guests’ taste buds, one of their unique favors was miniature hot sauce bottles. each bottle label read ‘jake + victoria | june 19, 2021’. placed beside the hot sauce wedding favors basket was a sign that said ‘something spicy’ in hand-drawn calligraphy and described the hot sauce as cherry bomb flavor.
keeping every reception-goer and palate in mind, victoria and jake also had their pink ombré wedding cake close by a platter of fresh chocolate chip cookie favors. a matching sign next to the plate of wedding cookies said ‘something sweet’ in the same cursive calligraphy.
RED HOT VINTAGE WEDDING GETAWAY CAR
we’re suckers for a statement wedding exit, so victoria and jake’s retro red wedding car blew us away. with their farm wedding venue being a bright red barn, it only makes sense to up the bold wedding style and say goodbye to your big day in a BIG way!
while every photo showed off the genuine love and friendship victoria and jake share, the timeless snapshots of these two leaning against their retro red wedding car wearing sunglasses seem to capture their fun-loving relationship to a tee. funky and fierce bride and groom portraits forever have our heart.
when asked about her laid-back outdoor barn wedding, victoria described it as “bright and carefree”. victoria, we wish you and jake nothing but good vibes, great hot sauce, and a carefree life full of constant celebration.
