sometimes you seek out love and sometimes love finds you. for a&bé dallas bride rachael and blake, fate had a part to play in their meeting. rachael explains, "we met on a night out during college, and then two years later met again. we went to different schools so when we randomly met again two years later he asked me out and i said yes".
after going on a couple of dates rachael and blake became inseparable. after 6+ years, two puppies, and countless memories, these two decided to tie the knot. planning their wedding ceremony and reception at la bonne vie ranch, this vineyard wedding venue in texas hill country was the perfect place for their friends and family to celebrate.
CHAPEL WEDDING
this texas countryside chapel wedding was memorable for many reasons. the charming wedding chapel was one of our favorite details. with vaulted ceilings of reclaimed wood, this barn-style wedding venue was refined and rustic. wooden church pews lined the bright concrete aisles and three traditional stained glass windows could be found at the front of the church shining natural light onto the altar.

simplicity goes a long way. with a western wedding venue and plenty of traditional decor, rachael chose a dress that would complement the elegant touches throughout their big day. wearing ‘camila’ by alyssa kristin, we love how much this sophisticated fitted crepe wedding dress stood out.
alyssa kristin’s camila wedding dress has a cool curved strapless neckline that is stylish and contemporary. adding structure to the bodice, this corseted wedding dress also includes removable off the shoulder straps. while rachael didn’t wear the detachable straps during her big day, she did make sure to accessorize her sleek wedding gown.
STATEMENT BRIDAL ACCESSORIES
long bridal cape
rachael’s first fashion-forward wedding accessory was a mock neck bridal cape. with bold lace embroidery covering the neck and shoulders of this tulle bridal cape, the appliqué stopped at her shoulders. not only was this wedding dress with a cape train eye-catching as rachael walked down the aisle, but it also created a trendy cutout appearance when paired with the straight-across neckline of camila.
louboutin sparkly wedding shoes
from head to toe rachael’s texas wedding look was whimsical and current. making sure her wedding shoes got an equal amount of attention, rachael wore nude crystal embellished louboutin pumps. these red bottom heels elevated her already modern country western wedding and bold bridal look.

UNIQUE LOVE STORY
meeting each other for the first time at his parents' house, a&bé portland bride taryn and alec’s love story is incredibly unique. taryn explains, "i was in occupational therapy school when i met alec. i was about to leave for my first 12-week clinical rotation and happened to be placed in alec’s hometown. his mom is an OT as well and offered for me to live with her after i filled out an alumni reach-out form from my school". after alec experienced an accident that kept him at home instead of returning to school, taryn met him when she moved in and the rest is history.
quickly becoming best friends, taryn and alec soon expressed their feelings to one another, kicking off an epic romance that eventually led to their engagement and beautiful barn wedding.
CHURCH WEDDING
getting married in an elegant church wedding venue and hosting their reception at a rustic nebraska wedding venue, taryn and alec mixed traditional elements and wedding trends into their big day.
from first touch wedding photos at the church to capturing the white and pink wedding flowers on the altar, their large church wedding ceremony was timeless.
POPPY BY ANAIS ANETTE
another sophisticated detail that was both modern and enduring was taryn’s wedding dress. wearing ‘poppy’ by anais anette, this fitted crepe wedding dress was minimal, but had jaw-dropping details like a cathedral pearl embellished bridal train and a sheer open back. the gowns' thin spaghetti straps were modish, while the v-neckline and beaded back and train were classic in style.
not only did taryn’s dress include beading, but so did her bridal belt. pairing anais anette’s poppy dress with ‘celeste duet’ by sara gabriel, this hand-embroidered crystal and pearl bridal belt tied in the wedding gown’s pearl detail.
finishing off the look with ’stephanie veil’ by sara gabriel, this long pale ivory veil completed this elegant wedding look.
PERSONALIZED RECEPTION

after their ceremony, taryn and alec slipped into footwear that was a little more comfortable. both wearing white wedding crocs, the couple kissed under a custom neon wedding sign while bumping the bottom of their shoes together.

in addition to their custom sign and matching bride and groom shoes, taryn and alec’s wedding cake topper was also a favorite special way they personalized their wedding reception. wearing a dress that was a replica of her own and even included the tulle illusion wedding train, we love the attention to detail that went into this rainbow marble wedding cake and custom wedding cake topper.
