as big fans of love we constantly gush over the love stories we find in our real bride submission forms. from love stories that start at first sight to funny first moments as friends that turn into something more, each a&bé bride’s story is as unique as they are.
below you’ll find two babes with two different stories, but one common theme… LOVE. both of these brides express the joy of their big day in ways that include utter gratitude for the lifelong love they have found. sound special? it is, and that’s just the beginning!
LOVE STORY AND BEACH PROPOSAL
#aandbabe gabe and hannah met in elementary school. their friendship drifted apart for years and experienced even more distance as hannah went off to college. one day gabe reached out to hannah asking to hangout. things quickly turned serious as they began dating and almost a year later gabe had another surprise headed hannah’s way.
hannah shares, “we had been dating for almost a year when he proposed to me at the beach where i have made most of my childhood memories. “this beach proposal marked the start of their forever. hannah couldn’t have been happier for this moment and the day that their forever became official. “he is my best friend, the love of my life, and my partner and i am beyond thankful i get to spend my life with him!”
SIMPLE BACKYARD WEDDING
their backyard wedding at the saltbox barn was romantic. getting ready in the wood paneled bridal suite, you can see hannah getting into her dress and her bridal braids peeping through her wavy bridal hairstyle. finishing off her wedding look with a dried flower boho bridal crown, she was ready to walk down the aisle to gabe.
their wide aisle was accented by colorful layered carpets and flower petals. guests sat in wooden folding chairs and a triangle wooden wedding arch marked the altar. on either side of the altar, giant trees swayed in the breeze and pampas grass was placed delicately as statement decor.
AVERY BY MADI LANE WEDDING DRESS
hannah’s neutral floral bridal crown matched the oversized flowers of her ‘avery’ by madi lane wedding dress. coming into a&bé seattle bridal shop with a different dress in mind, hannah soon fell in love with avery the second she slipped it on.
hannah decided on ordering this madi lane wedding dress in the ivory/mocha color option and omitted a layer of glitter tulle to really make it her own. by styling this madi lane bridal gown with sara gabriel’s ‘donna veil’ and the unique floral crown, hannah’s bridal look was romantic, colorful, and true to herself.
WEDDING CHARCUTERIE
after their outdoor ceremony, friends and family participated in wedding portraits before making their way into the barn. inside, brown wooden plates and cutlery filled round tables. with light brown napkins placed on top of these plates and amber glassware, the color palette of each table felt warm and inviting.
exiting their wedding venue with a classic flower petal toss, hannah and gabe walked hand in hand into their new life as a married couple.

LOVE STORY AND LONG DISTANCE DATING
#aandbabe kelsey and tim thank their crossfit community and social media for their meeting. with kelsey living in modesto and tim living near fresno, it was unlikely that they would cross paths. when some of tim’s friends went to kelsey’s crossfit gym, they came back to tim with a report of "there was this cute single girl at resident crossfit". tim followed kelsey on social media and eventually asked her out to dinner.
tim’s career as a wildland firefighter caused a quick shift in their relationship as he entered “fire season” and long assignments made their dating long distance for some time. kelsey shares, “i wouldn’t have had it any other way. distance truly makes the heart grow fonder.”
SIMPLE BARN WEDDING
when it came time to select their wedding venue, kelsey and tim’s biggest focus was finding a space that could comfortably fit all of their loved ones. not only did this rustic and industrial barn wedding venue in michigan fit their whole crew, but it also had stunning grounds. “we found this gorgeous venue, simple, beautiful landscape and a pond. the venue spoke for itself.”
a pebble pathway led to a wooden pergola altar that was draped in flowers and greenery for their big day. behind them was grassy patches and a pond. guests sat in wooden folding chairs and kelsey’s bridesmaids bundled up in white fringe shawls as they stood by her side.
DIY WEDDING DECORATIONS IDEAS
as for their decor, kelsey focused on making most of her decorations herself. she used mirrors of her grandmother’s for signage and thrifted a window pane for her wedding table seating chart.
kelsey’s family also joined in on the handmade wedding decorations and favors. “my aunt made the cake and cupcakes and my 'bonus' mom made a sweets table with goodie bags to go.”
TOBIE BY ANAIS ANETTE WEDDING DRESS
when shopping for her wedding dress at a&bé sacramento, kelsey wanted a minimal wedding dress with an open back. she found just that in anais anette’s tobie dress. this fitted crepe wedding dress had a sleek silhouette, thin straps, and a low v illusion back that complimented the gown’s light lace train.
wanting to make the gown her own, kelsey even customized this anais anette wedding dress to have a v-neckline instead of the scoop neckline it was sampled in.
spending the rest of their wedding day warm in the venue’s cozy barn, kelsey and tim celebrated with their closest family and friends!
