HOW TO PLAN A WEDDING WITHOUT A WEDDING PLANNER
#aandbabe kristina and casey know a thing or two about how to plan a wedding. when kristina reflected back on their big day, she took note of her guests’ experience and the kind words they had. “all our guests were shocked with how 'us' the day was and having planned the wedding myself i took it as the biggest compliment.”
while there were so many elements that made their wedding in centennial, colorado feel personalized, one of the biggest details was kristina and casey’s ability to break the mold and create new wedding traditions.
with unique wedding desserts that played into their rustic barn reception venue like peach shots, kristina and casey packed their personality and style into so many wedding details.
RECEPTION OUTFIT FOR BRIDE AND GROOM
one of our personal favorite moments from their big day was their wedding reception outfit change. instead of kristina changing into a short dress, both she and casey emerged in a second wedding look that was equally as cool. “after a lovely ceremony and dinner feeling like the belle of the ball, we changed into sweats and danced our asses off.”
RISH BRIDAL NEAR ME
kristina found her rish bridal wedding dress at a&bé denver bridal shop. not only did kristina love the look of ‘chloe’ dress by rish, but she was overjoyed by rish’s ability to customize the gown to fit her vision. wanting a little more coverage than the look of our denver sample, kristina added an extra layer of lining and made some additional changes during the alterations process.
much like their wedding day, kristina’s rish bridal boho gown was one-of-a-kind. wearing a colorful jeweled necklace and stud earrings, kristina’s delicate bridal accessories matched the intricate lacework and tiny pearl embellishments.
the tulle illusion lace back of chloe by rish stood out in various photos. wearing her hair down in waves, kristina’s half-up-half-down bridal hairstyle complimented the gown's open back and was finished off with a rose gold hair comb.
SURPRISE WEDDING RECEPTION IDEAS
from a sweetheart wedding table with a stunning mountainscape backdrop, to a perfect first dance outdoors, kristina and casey kept their guests guessing when it came to their reception. sitting down to eat in a romantic barn, their unique farm wedding was complete with bistro lights and white draping hanging from the rafters. during the day, natural light poured into the space and by nighttime, the dance floor moved inside by the bar.
ending their special day with drinks in hand and sweatshirts on, this adventure-filled chapter of kristina and casey’s love story came to a fun close. leaving their flying horse ranch wedding venue and loved ones, kristina and casey excitedly embarked on their next adventure together.

INDUSTRIAL WEDDING VENUE
rustic weddings don’t always happen in a barn, an industrial wedding venue set the tone for #aandbabe katie and tj’s wedding day. with their small wedding ceremony taking place in a 20th century granary building, their special day was filled with glamour and vintage wedding details.
IS CHAMPAGNE A GOOD BRIDESMAID COLOR?
we always hear questions about bridesmaid dresses and color schemes and ‘is champagne a good bridesmaid color’ is a common one we are asked. our short answer… yes! being a neutral, champagnes and nudes often go with any wedding aesthetic. champagne bridesmaid dresses are also good since they usually compliment a white or ivory wedding dress.
katie’s bridesmaids wore short silk champagne bridesmaid dresses as they stood by her side at the altar. these short dresses matched the relaxed vibes of katie and tj’s rustic colorado nuptials. taking her sequin wedding dress into account, we love the sheen that katie’s bridesmaid dresses had and how katie’s gown reflected the warm tones.
MADE WITH LOVE LOLA

WEDDING ACCESSORIES FOR BRIDES LIST
when it comes to planning your own wedding or preparing for your big day, making a list always helps with organization. one list we often see our brides gravitate towards is wedding outfit checklists or lists for what a bride needs to pack for wedding.
in katie’s case, she kept her wedding wardrobe simple, finishing off her made with love bridal look with a simple cathedral veil and white bridal shoes. her cathedral length veil had a satin edge trim that softly framed the fitted silhouette of the lola gown.
as for shoes, katie wore pointed closed toe bridal shoes with a chunky pearl ankle band that was secured by a satin ribbon. though her elegant wedding shoes were unique, they didn’t distract from her overall bridal look and fit the timeless aesthetic of many other wedding elements from katie and tj’s wedding day.
ending the night on the dance floor and grabbing group shots every chance the got, katie and tj made sure to capture the wedding moments that they'd want to remember forever.
