while at first glimpse these two wedding days may seem like opposites when it comes to aesthetics, there is one theme that was ever present on both of these beautiful wedding days… love. from a college love story to a custom bridal jacket with love written on the back, both of these babes brought an abundance of love to their big days.
COLLEGE SWEETHEARTS
meeting in college, #aandbabe kellie and michael bonded over their love of greek life. from pretty early on kellie knew she had feelings for michael, sharing “i spent more time at his fraternity house than the sorority house because i had the biggest crush on him.”
while kellie and michael went their separate ways once summer came and moves ensued, they reconnected a few years later and quickly fell into their old rhythm. forming a forever bond, the couple got engaged and began to plan their dream wedding day in northern minnesota.
LAKESIDE WEDDING CEREMONY
set up against a stunning backdrop of gull lake, minnesota, kellie and michael’s wedding ceremony on the water was simple and rustic. their ceremony arch made of wood had greenery and flowers placed organically, while guests sat in sleek fold out white wedding chairs.
fall leaves were scattered amongst their grassy wedding aisle and a hazy fog set over the lake. while their wedding forecast wasn’t exactly ideal, it did create a moody ambiance that made their wedding ceremony feel like a true outdoor autumn wedding in minnesota. though rain was on the horizon, it didn’t impact their vows or reception. “thankfully, we were able to take all of our wedding photos and have our ceremony outside before it started raining. our reception and dance were held inside so the weather was no longer an issue”.
BARN RECEPTION
after the ceremony everyone gathered indoors to continue the festivities. with white table cloth tables lining the space, their rustic lake lodge reception felt cozy and crisp. greenery lined the center of each table while folded napkins and filled glasses sat at every place setting.
at their wedding party table, bouquets served as the centerpieces and a custom sign reading ‘the reids’ hung behind them. picking up their plates and heading to the buffet, everyone enjoyed delicious food and wonderful company.
after their meal, guests headed into a heated tent for more fun and dancing! kellie shares that one of her favorite parts of the day was the band that played at their wedding. “we had an amazing band from the twin cities perform and that was hands down, one of my favorite parts of our day.”
ANAIS ANETTE WEDDING DRESS
their serene waterside wedding wouldn’t have been complete without this modern crepe cap sleeve wedding dress. with an open illusion lace back and stunning side slit. ‘ezra’ by anais anette was the perfect wedding gown for their stylish wedding on the shore.
not only was the gown a mix of clean fabric and delicate floral appliqué, but kellie also chose to include flowers in her bridal hairstyle. wearing a greenery wedding flower crown on her head, kellie’s loose waves and long wedding veil were the perfect bridal accessories to complete her look. chic and true to their earthy and elegant wedding, kellie glowed throughout the day.

SUMMER CAMP WEDDING THEME
intimate weddings are often an opportunity for couples to fully display their personalities and wedding style without feeling the need to stick to strict traditions or typical wedding guidelines. #aandbabe amber and tyler definitely took advantage of this opportunity by creating a wedding day that was uniquely them. from their nostalgic summer camp wedding theme, to their use of bright colors and patterns, amber and tyler got hitched in style.
FOREST FIRST LOOK
making her way from a nearby tent to the carpet where tyler was standing, amber and tyler had their first look in the middle of the forest. shaded by a tall tree, their lush first look moment was mystic and meaningful. amber tapped tyler’s shoulder and they shared their excitement before heading down the trail leading to a pristine lake.
COLORFUL WEDDING FLOWERS
pops of color were everywhere, from amber and tyler’s tapestry flat lay backdrop to their rainbow 'love' sign they had hanging from a nearby tree. another element that filled their wedding day with even more vibrancy was the wildflowers seen in amber’s hair, bridal bouquet, and even decorating their wedding cake.

exploding with color, this elegant bouquet held all sorts of eccentric wedding flowers. the stems were wrapped together in traditional lace and the bouquet itself matched tyler’s boutonnière.

in addition to tyler’s boutonnière, the bouquet also coordinated with amber’s handmade floral hair piece. wearing her hair in a relaxed half-up, half-down bridal hairstyle, amber’s real flower hair comb was the perfect modern take on a floral hair crown.
MADI LANE WEDDING DRESS
color also found its way to amber’s a-line madi lane wedding dress. selecting the designer’s ivory/mocha option, amber wore ‘avery’ by madi lane wedding dress. this dramatic wedding gown is covered in oversized floral motifs and even had a shimmer to it, thanks to a soft layer of glitter tulle. standing out just enough amongst their whimsical woodland wedding setting, we loved that amber chose this dress for their adventure wedding.
BLUE GROOM’S JACKET
taking a cue from amber, tyler also incorporated unconventional color into his wedding outfit. wearing an electric blue velvet suit jacket, a printed button down, and yellow pants, tyler’s cool style captured their carefree and colorful wedding vibe.
hiking boots could be seen on their feets and smiles on their faces. after a long day of wandering around the forest and snapping photos together, amber and tyler settled down by the campfire to dine on cupcakes and enjoy their first evening as husband and wife.
